We are experienced musicians with RCM and University level training. We take the time to get to know each student and parent, as well as your learning objectives. We create lesson plans to help you achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

You can start your lessons on a keyboard, as long it has touch sensitivity and weighted keys. Full-sized keyboards are 88 keys, though keyboards with 61 or 76 keys would work well for beginners!
We always recommend renting instruments from Long & McQuade. The rental plans are very reasonable, and that way you don’t have to make a decision until you feel ready. When you do feel ready, we’ll be happy to guide you on which type of keyboard to purchase.
Our motto at Inspired School of Music is that practice makes progress. We recommend more frequent and shorter practice sessions, rather than fewer, longer ones. For young beginners, we recommend 3-5 practice sessions between lessons. They can be anywhere from 10-20 minutes long.
